Research Engineer in Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL)

NSF U.S.-Denmark Program— NSF-IRES-INNOVATOR Program Summer 2024Collaboration between Georgia Southern, Mississippi State University, and Aalborg University.I was a part of a cohort of 7 and paired with 1 other partner within the cohort. My partner and I chose to replace a standard control system of 2 PI controllers with a neural network to simulate and see if the results were comparable.

I am a Part-Time Intern with Paccar Engine Company and I work as a Control's Engineering Intern with the Assembly division. I interned within the Product Support Team of the Aeronautical Systems Sector of Northrop Grumman. I was apart of a team that worked on a 10 week project to set a basis of proof dealing with robotics.• Created and designed to requirements given and self-imposed throughout the project• Designed 3d Models using NX and printed using additive manufacturing• Demonstrated a full scale model with full electronic control and power system

I assist the Lab Manager in bringing in and testing products. During these tests, I help set up test setups which sometimes require a completely new setup. This position has helped me tremendously in my knowledge and experience in the high voltage and power industry.• 1MV AC testing capabilities• 10+ power companies worked with • Testing of Power Systems, Insulators, Bushing• Creation of test setups for companies• Testing to IEEE Standards• 600KV bushings, 200KV submarine cable, 160KVA Transformers

I currently work as an intern for the Electromagnetic Effects Division under the Environmental Climatic Test Directorate. Our works focus’s around the effect of electromagnetic radiation on equipment.
