The programme was aimed at young people aged between 16-25 who are not in employment, education or training. The 12 week programme provides the opportunity to learn not only employability skills such as CV writing, job applications and interview support, but also life skills such as team work, communication and working within the community on projects and placements. This experience was one of the most humbling and inspiring things I've ever had the privilege to do.

Following six months of evening and weekend training, I went on to experience many aspects of policing.
