Ryan was born to be financial planner. However, as a child he had a different dream. He wanted to be a television reporter like Kermit the Frog who reported for Sesame Street News. His broadcast journalism career started while he attending college in 1993. But almost immediately, his news directors noticed a tremendous ability he had to break down very complicated financial news into concise easily-understood news stories. His career flourished as a financial/economic television reporter for PBS and NBC-affiliate television news stations in Utah and then Washington state. The demanding schedule of being a field reporter was getting in the way of Ryan’s primary goal in life of being a good husband and father. So, Ryan picked up his family and moved to his home town of Los Angeles to start a financial planning practice in Woodland Hills. He and his wife Megan eventually settled in Santa Clarita.Outside of work, Ryan enjoys his family and the outdoors the most. If he can combine the two he’s got a perfect day ahead of him. Earning his Eagle Scout award as a teen prepared him for a life with six sons and the unique opportunity that provides for fun in the outdoors. He will usually take two or three backcountry trips to Sequoia or Yosemite per year.
