Led an effort to upgrade their existing java-based website to a Django based one eliminating the need for a load balancer and two other servers thereby reducing hosting and support costs. Also migrated their newsletter program from an in-house scripted process to MailChimp which wound up saving them over $60,000/year by allowing their own internal staff to create new and edit existing content for their newsletters.From application development through hosting administration and setup, I handled all aspects of software development projects for my clients. Technologies consisted of: Python/Django, Java, Groovy/Grails, and PHP as well as PostGreSQL and MySQL databases, as well as Linux/Apache web servers both in-house and in the cloud.
