• I am responsible for the completion of daily inspections, maintenance, optimisation and alignment of frequency doubled Argon ion gas laser systems operating at 244nm wavelength.• I am responsible for reviewing any issues related to the laser systems or the production process and providing solutions which address the issues in a timely manner. • I am the first point of contact for production staff members when support is required and I am responsible for ensuring that the company can sustain a 24/7 production process through implementation of effective systems and documentation.• I am required to work with outside suppliers and contractors who supply key parts to obtain quotations and organise the installation of these parts with minimal impact on production. Some of this work involves designing external setups to be used with the lasers which are suitable for a mass production environment.• I am responsible for introducing new products into the laser trim process, setting up documentation, inspections and testing the capability of the manufacturing process with the final aim of allowing for the transition of manufacturing responsibility to the production team.• I work with large data sets which I use to drive improvement projects to maximise yield performance. I produce reports for the engineering team on product yields and determine main root cause for yield detractors with suggestions of what can be done to improve product performance.• I am a member of the health and safety committee and meet with middle/senior management monthly to review the company’s performance against its health and safety targets.

Responsible for ensuring the timely optical construction of our market leading class 4 infrared, ultraviolet and green lasers in a cleanroom environment.Constructing high powered quality lasers which exceed our customer requirements and expectations. Working to meet tight deadlines and maintain high standards of laser safety, quickly problem solving and being involved in continuous improvement processes so that we can strive to always do better. Fire marshal and first aid response team member who is responsible for monitoring and highlighting any potential issues and suggesting preventative action procedures to be put in place. Whether it be an escalated complaint, sales enquiry, technical support request, billing enquiry or even just a quick chat about how life is going I was ready to have wonderful conversations and really WOW our customers. I had the pleasure of speaking to over 10,000 unique individuals in my time working with Virgin Media and worked closely with them to promote customer loyalty and ensure their repeat business every month.
