Work closely with an average caseload of 40-50 federal offenders to meet criminogenic needs to reduce recidivism and reacclimate them back into the community.Enforce Bureau of Prisons guidelines, as well as court ordered supervision components, while simultaneously addressing criminogenic needs. Build rapport with clients to address substance use, mental health, and other pertinent issues.Display knowledge of community resources. Communicate with organizations to aid clients in re-integration into society to decrease recidivism. These organizations may include United States Probation and Parole, Missouri Probation and Parole, and community partners (such as Father’s Support or Connections to Success).Analyze and respond to any objections. Resolve undisputed issues, such as formal violations, and presenting any unresolved issues to the Bureau of Prisons and Dismas House of Saint Louis. Identify and investigate formal investigations and hearings for inhouse disciplinary sanctions and report to the Bureau of Prisons accordingly.In charge of coordinating volunteer services and job training for all volunteers. In charge of supervision for all practicum students and interns, as well as obtaining fingerprints for each new staff member or volunteer.Skills in performing Ohio Risk Assessment and developing detailed plans with offender to attempt to curb criminal behavior, and decrease recidivism.Collaborate on and organize monthly job skills fair with United States Probation and Parole to teach soft skills for job retention. Partner with outside agencies to help meet education and disability needs.Run weekly orientation for 5-20 federal inmates.
