I am responsible for hiring, developing and managing my team of Engineers and Engineering Support Techs with the main goal of improving and measuring processes and quality for all 3rd party designed POSs, servers, kiosks, printers and peripherals serviced by NCR. As a team, we perform kaizen events, 6S blitzes, and quality improvement projects across multiple staging and repair depots within our organization.For the better part of the last year I have managed the layout redesign of our 100,000+ sq. ft. repair depot with the main goal of supporting 2x growth in 2015 and a productivity improvement of 5% throughout all value streams within the depot. I have also focused my efforts on spearheading the tactical stabilization of two other depots in the NCR network through kaizen events and understanding, documentation and improvement of business processes to support future improvements and IT sanctioned automation projects.

As a Field Services Engineer I worked in a cross-functional environment with development, repair depot employees, test engineering, installations, and supply quality engineering. My duties include repair process development and documentation, design for serviceability, quality system tracking and reporting in the hand assembly and configuration of computers and peripherals as well as initiating lean principles for higher efficiency operations. I earned my Six Sigma Black Belt Certification December of 2012 with a focus on waste reduction to decrease inventory costs.

As a Mechanical Department Management Trainee and a Mechanical Supervisor for Norfolk Southern Railroad, I have fulfilled the role of a front line supervisor which has required me to balance learning from and directly supervising several craft employees. I have made safety my number one priority while striving to improve productivity at every turn. My experience in both a rail car repair shop and locomotive maintenance and repair shop demonstrate my ability to work safely around heavy machinery and the hazards posed by heavy repair. While in Cincinnati I initiated and completed a project in which I analyzed rail car repair methods, movement, and storage and was able to improve overall car repair time by 18.5%. As a Mechanical Supervisor in Chattanooga I create a daily work plan to repair the maximum amount of locomotives possible with available work force. This requires a high level of competence and the ability to multitask proficiently as I must keep in touch with over 30 employees at a time and make quick decisions to reassign workers on several locomotives in order to produce the highest amount of quality engines at the end of the shift.

During my second internship I was able to design more complicated bellows and expansion joints per customer specifications as well as the fatigue and failure analysis and drafting of these bellows. I also assisted with field failure analysis and engineering solutions for failed expansion joints.

As the only engineering intern at American BOA, some of my duties included updating fatigue and failure analysis calculation software data for revised EJMA codes, design of basic bellows and expansion joints per customer specifications, and fatigue and failure analysis and drafting of basic expansion joints.
