In my experience serving as a Financial Analyst Intern at Bel Air Investment Advisors and as Chair of the Southern California Restorative Justice Committee at Bend the Arc, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to making a difference in my community, my workplace, and in the lives of the clients, customers, and citizens I serve.As an intern at Bel Air Investment Advisors, I gained invaluable insight into the world of finance and garnered first-hand experience helping clients achieve sustained financial growth. I was responsible for transferring confidential client information across software, processing trades and adjusting client portfolios, and performing reports for senior advisors on market securities, IPOs, and taxes to help prepare them for critical meetings with stakeholders. Moving onto community organizing, I was on the front lines fighting to redress inequity within the justice system as a member of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice. During my seven-month tenure as Chair of the Southern California Restorative Justice Committee, I established and managed progress on legislation campaign efforts, facilitated 2-hour monthly committee meetings for a team of 20 community leaders, executed lobbying visits with public officials, and represented my committee's interests in statewide assemblies. Under my leadership, the committee made major strides in voting rights advocacy for imprisoned Californians (ACA 4), including installing polling locations within those prisons (AB 544). We also contributed significantly to redirecting taxpayer funds away from probation offices and into juvenile recreational and mental health programs in alignment with the goals of the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (AB 702). In December 2023, I made the difficult decision to drop out from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles after attending classes on scholarship. I look forward to using the same talents that earned me placement into such a renowned legal program to pursue my interests in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Consulting, and Management.
