I started my career as an Intranet producer for a sub division of BT and have been working in relatively similar sectors since.I left BT to briefly work in Sales for Tiny Computers but then moved to Jersey where I started working for the technology arm of the Jersey Evening Post. I then joined Itex where I designed websites for a number of government departments, private companies and charities.I then left Itex to work for the BBC as a Broadcast Journalist running the new bbc.co.uk/jersey website.I worked there for sixteen years. During that time I covered a number of events in a number of different ways including the extensive use of social media.I wrote national and local stories for BBC News Online - everything from elections and court stories to technology and daily news.I'm also trained as a video journalist, regularly edited audio and presented a radio show about the islands music scene for ten years.I spent four months working as a media officer for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy where I worked on daily journalists queries, media monitoring and analysis.I spent two years at the Mail Online as Senior Science and Technology Reporter including six months editing the US science and technology desk. I am currently working for TechMonitor where I report on emerging technology - particularly AI, quantum and space.
