A fast paced agency with a variety of clients my role as an Account Manager sees me getting involved with a range of communications task each day. These tasks include: planning and overseeing PR campaigns, writing case studies and awards entries, blog posts and Diva news stories and evaluation reports; as well as managing client relationships, presenting ideas at creative pitches, supervising the creative direction of content creation and social media management. I worked on two campaigns - Pink Fridays and Carols by Candlelight. My time at Breast Cancer Care saw me:Establish and maintain a media landscape for the local area with a list of the relevant journalists to contact at each publication. Always ensuring a good relationship was constantly maintained through high quality communications, digital written and verbal. Manage and organise of a unique publicity stunt. I ran this as a “Clap-mob” using social media, print media and radio to gather members of the public dressed in pink to take part in a one minute applause for everyone ever touched by breast cancer. Produce a broad range of top quality written materials with accuracy. These materials included: campaign plans, news release, internal communications, volunteer newsletters and proposals amongst others. Succeed in gaining partnerships with Doncaster Rovers FC and Lakeside Shopping Village for the whole of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
