It had 4 exits through selling 11 portfolios of income-bearing sites to 4 alternative asset funds.Previously Chairman & co-founder of Skysites, the leading Brazilian street-side cell pole operator with 1,000+ live sites using its own capex to provide turn-key services to mobile operators. Skysites was acquired by IHS Towers in January 2021. Prior to that, CEO & founder of Macropolitan, the UK's largest owner of exclusive telecoms rights with 18,000 urban sites. Macropolitan was acquired for £9.5 million by Arqiva 18 months from its only funding round. It offered sites to MNO's and to global vendors including Alcatel-Lucent and Nortel. Previously, CEO & co-founder of Megabeam, the first pan-European wholesale Wi-Fi hotspot operator and most successful aggregator of long-term exclusive rights over commercial properties across the EU. It provided offload access to mobile operators and ISP's. Twice rated in world's top 25 mobile businesses by Unstrung. 6 countries were acquired by Swisscom 3 years after founding and the 7th, Italy, became Linkem with €160m revenue and now acquired Tiscali. Served as Chief of Wireless Broadband & Convergence Products at BT in 2003-2006. Responsible for increasing BT's market share using Wi-Fi to deliver superior mobile services to 20 million customers, including developing BT Fusion, the world's first Convergence product launch. Was simultaneously first Chairman & founder of the Fixed-Mobile Convergence Alliance, a global forum of operators representing 850m subscribers.Has a law degree from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
