Provide leadership and coordination for response to incidents that impact the campus, and also participate in coordination of incidents confined to specific departments and major activities. Command/direct campus operations in response to a major disaster or emergency, especially including situations during which campus is closed or classes are cancelled and multi-departmental responses are required. In addition to direct oversight and involvement in IUEMC for the campus, participate in the development of policy, strategy, plans, and capabilities across the scope of IUEMC for Indiana University.

Worked increased activations of the State EOC for the following disasters or special events: April '11 Southern Indiana Flooding, February '12 Super Bowl XLVI and March '12 Southern Indiana Tornadoes. Deployed as Planning Section Chief for the following disasters: April '11 Southern Indiana Flooding District 10 Multi-Agency Coordination Center and November '12 State of NY Hurricane Sandy IMT EMAC Request to Long Beach, NY. Served as Planning Section Chief in the State EOC for the following Exercises: May '11 National Level Exercise, December '12 Operation Stealth Indiana Earthquake Exercise and October '12 REP/ Ingestion Pathway Exercise. Served in the Planning Section of Exercise Control during the April '12 and September '12 State of Indiana District Response Task Force Full-Scale Exercises at the Musctatuck Urban Training Center near Butlerville, IN. Managed the revision of the State of Indiana's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. Managed the State's Continuity of Operations/Government Program from January '11 through September '12 including supporting state agencies with the completion and testing of their Continuity of Operations Plans.
