I have more than 15 years of internet marketing experience, and enjoy working closely with our clients on a strategic level to ensure their online marketing programs are running and performing as expected. I have consulted large enterprises over the years with complex SEO and analytics problems, including Career Builder, PEER 1 Hosting, Sears and KMart.I teach a digital marketing class at Trinity University to try and prepare students for a marketing practitioner role at any company, where they learn the basics of (and get certified in) Google Analytics and Google AdWords. This is a real passion of mine because I feel the Universities are too far behind in the digital space in current curriculums, and I am working to change that.I have spoken at conferences around the world on the topic of Internet marketing. In my spare time in the past, I have volunteered and mentored companies in TechStars, and 3 Day Startup.I have been a member of Vistage since 2012 and am a founding member of my group.

These are the first two - and only two - Internet marketing courses offered at this level at any university in San Antonio right now.The Intro course in the Fall exposes the students to several aspects of Internet marketing, including search engine optimization, paid advertising, ad retargeting, display, analytics and more. The class is divided into teams and each team has either a real B2B or B2C company and a budget to work with. Their job is to create a comprehensive Internet marketing plan designed to maximize results. They are required to determine how to most efficiently spend the client’s money and calculate the anticipated return on investment (ROI).The Advanced course in the Spring (the Intro course is a pre-requisite) focuses on getting the students certified in Google Analytics and Google AdWords. Along the way, they are now learning the many technical aspects of Internet marketing (learning to read source code, or to develop regular expressions).These two courses, coupled with an internship at my company, gets the students ready to take on a "practitioner" marketing role at just about any company. -
