Field Engineer
Current-Creation of site-specific project documentation such as: Drawings (physical and logical), rack risers, IP configurations, GUI Configurations-Creation of Touch Panel GUI designs. Configuration of control processors, audio DSPs, networked audio, video matrices and mixers, AV bridges, videoconferencing systems, and lecture capture systems.-Commissioning of AV control systems.-Installation of a wide variety of AV sources and endpoints including but not limited to interactive displays, video and led walls, projectors, screens, equipment racks, equipment enclosures, indoor speakers as well as stadium loudspeakers, ceiling microphones, video sound bars.-Proper and clean cable pulling, labeling, and lacing in ceilings, walls, and racks.-Cable terminations including, soldering analog and control connections, Category Cable Terminations, Coaxial F Connector and BNC terminations.-Coordination with customer on scope of work, client network requirements, and on-site logistics.-Troubleshooting AV system issues such as, physical connection failures, software/firmware-based failure points, incorrect control system configurations, audio visual processing equipment configurations, network configurations, and problems caused by room acoustics.-Use a wide variety of power tools to safely and efficiently complete installation.-Operate single-man lifts, scissor-lifts, and boom-lifts.-Delegate tasks among AV technicians and determine how to complete the job effectively using those employees’ specific strong suits.-Manage customer and employee relationships on and off site when circumstances become stressful.-Oversee on-site audiovisual equipment installation from start to finish.
