Advised and instructed a group of over 100 future Navy and Marine Corps officers.-Selected from among 60 other instructors to be National Course Coordinator. Trained and certified over 40 instructors to teach the course, and engineered an entire curriculum revision that was implemented at 160 colleges and universities across the United States.-Coordinated the $40K budget and logistics of travel for 45 midshipmen each year for training, including reserving flights and lodging, coordinating with deployed units overseas, and completing post cruise assessments.-Developed processes and procedures for the activities of 7 departments, including inspections to ensure compliance. Recommended changes in workflow processes to ensure maximum efficiency.

Second in charge of the 60-person nuclear engineering department on a $1.5B Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine.-Hand picked by the Captain of the ship, over more experienced officers, to lead a watch team of 30 sailors during four missions vital to national security.-Sole officer in charge of the approval and execution of over 120 Controlled Work Packages, including emergent repairs to critical ship systems. Coordinated $12M of work among 5 divisions and 3 departments during multiple maintenance periods, including over 100 test procedures.-Oversaw the safe coordination and execution of a complex nuclear chemistry control plan during a $25M maintenance period, resulting in early project completion and conserving over 1,400 man-days. Division cited as 1st in Engineering Department (of 5) during annual reactor safety inspection.-Chosen over more experienced officers to lead teams of up to 20 sailors during $9M of high-risk engineering evolutions, including numerous reactor compartment entries, a reactor plant cool-down, and an off-hull radioactive liquid waste transfer.-Selected as USS Buffalo's 2010 Junior Officer of the Year (of 15).-Certified Navy Nuclear Engineer (Professional Engineer / PE equivalent) by Department of Naval Reactors.
