I always had a keen interest in the day to day running of a busy Production department within the Engineeeing sector and therefore I took up my current role as Outsource Coordinator with Telestack. My daily duties involve scheduling of outsourced fabricated assemblies, Painted Assemblies, Fully assembled units and many other duties to ensure all outsourced components & assemblies are completed and delivered on time. Other daily duties consist of negotiating pricing & terms with sub contractors, Ensuring sub contractors have received the correct drawing packs, Traveling to inspect sub contractors premises meet Telestack standards, Attending production meetings to give updates to all relevant departments on progress of all machines off site. This is just a few of the daily tasks within my role. This role covered a broad range of duties and responsibilities as a Design & Project Engineer in McCrorys. When I was taken onboard I was part of everyday design roles and part of full design projects from initial contact with the customers right thought to over seeing the project build and site installation. Everyday activities consisted of sales layouts & concepts, full batching plants design works, drafting drawings, BOM management, weekly design meetings regarding all stages of ongoing projects right up to commissioning, liaising with customers, distribution of work load with fellow Design engineers. I was also part of R & D projects in house and this allowed me to broaden my experience within the team. This role has allowed me to gain experience in a number of different stages of being a Design & Project engineer as listed, managing designs from customer specification, concepts approval with the customer and final design approval and further more communicate with the design team on progress of project and management of the teams time and meeting deadlines. This role has allowed me to gain a vast experience in all aspects of Design and project management. This was all part of the everyday task and along with much more as a Design & Project Engineer.
