First relevant internship of QA engineering for a company called NetApp. Through my internship I gained some insight on software and hardware compatibility, QA testing, and general OS knowledge.I also have some background experience in app development, as I created a rough-draft app for a local business owner in Wichita, Kansas, over the 2020 summer. At J&F Alliance Group, I worked semi-remote as an AI/ML Computer Scientist. The job required me to do a good bit of research over new findings in the ML community when they related to my projects, which lead to me furthering my understanding of the newest ML methods and algorithms. I was able to work on projects covering natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, text vectorization, and certain types of transformers.At Aviation & Missile Solutions, I was part of the combat identification team. My main focus was to create an interface through MATLAB to C++ using MATLAB's MEX functionality. The main reason being that MATLAB is very slow when doing certain operations, and we wanted to export all of that into C++ so it would run faster, specifically for customer use cases of running several intense simulations at once. I also had a hand in several smaller projects, including creating a viewer for a large aviation database with React, and some Lua scripting for use with WireShark.
