As the Reimbursable Budget Authority (RBA) Lead Analyst, I was responsible for managing the Reimbursable Budget ($55MM FY17) for the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Sensors Directorate (RY). Duties included: daily balance updates and analysis of more than 120 Reimbursable Orders, daily reconciliation of reimbursable transaction data in CCaR, weekly reconciliation between CCaR and CRIS transaction data and, monthly analysis of transaction data for line of accounting (LOA) errors. Planned, organized, and directed reimbursable activities of the incoming funds branch, ensuring that financial management activities complied with legal and regulatory requirements and met customer needs. Briefed RBA Process Improvements during Inspector General (IG) Audit and received mention as outstanding performer and best practices for Reimbursable Budget Authority. Also briefed RBA JOCAS processes with an outside consulting firm tasked by HQ AFRL to look at our business systems and processes. The process improvements I made to the RBA process have led to other AFRL Technical Directorates (TDs) requesting an overview of RY’s process so that the improvements can be implemented in their TD. Maximized use of available resources through process improvements which led to timely response to inquiries and reduced overtime during fiscal year end closeout. Represented AFRL/RYF to a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Prior to RBA analyst, I managed $56 Million (FY15) in Incoming Customer Funds for the Multispectral Sensing & Detection Division. I interfaced directly with AFLCMC, Army, Navy, and other non-DOD outside agencies to coordinate funding, create, and execute AF funding documents. The spreadsheet I created to track incoming funds has been replicated and used by other financial specialist within RYF.
