I am thrilled to get to be the CEO of an exciting company that manages events for some of my favorite people on the planet - anime fans. I design, develop, and execute overall executive strategy, long-term planning, and management, focused on providing an intimate and unmatched attendee experience. I built AnimeCon.org from the ground up to be one of the leanest, ultra responsive event management companies in the anime industry. We take our attendee feedback to heart and use it to provide them better experiences while I also program components in Ruby on Rails that make staffing and organization significantly more manageable.

TIXILY is an event organizing software platform. The platform helps organizers of conferences, tradeshows, and conventions run their events with ease. We manage the details of ticket-selling and event registration at the lowest fee in the industry. Our disruptive pricing will position Tixily as a market-leader in ticket selling and event management software.

Starting from scratch I created one of the largest and most exciting entertainment events in Minneapolis! AniMinneapolis, which I founded in 2011, is the second-largest anime convention in Minnesota. I help anime fans and the fan community connect with each other and voice actors from their favorite anime like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and beyond. I develop supporting software that helps with event management using Ruby on Rails.

Work with local community members and community organizations to collaborate on building a large anime convention in the Quad Cities, while building many supporting events and community groups throughout the surrounding region.

Various stuff. It was literally quite "various" - anything from writing some scripts to automate simple tasks to helping setup and test the new installation of enterprise software.

I developed relationships with community members and students to strengthen use of Open Source technology on campus. We had weekly meetups and we lobbied the administration to press the adoption and teaching of open source.

Ages ago, when I was much younger, I was an account representative for a beloved local credit union. I processed members transactions, processed hundreds of thousands of dollars, helped answer questions about accounts, interest rates, and credit/debit cards in both English and Spanish. My Spanish skills have declined since then. I also volunteered as much as I could with the company and was on the credit union's employee social committee.
