After several years with this wonderful company, I was promoted to Director of IT, and given the responsibility of administrating the business's first in-house server. Our business has unique operating needs, so my prerogative is to simplify and, if possible, automate the responsibilities and tasks that our employees tend to each day. In an effort to move away from endless monthly spreadsheets, and requiring every employee to have at least some level of technical knowledge to use our systems, I seek to design easy-to-use intranet web applications to interface with mySQL databases, using PHP, Javascript and Python.

WFmed is a small, but growing business that sells aromatherapy oils, medical supplies, and vitamin supplements. The independently-owned business sells thousands of products through eBay, Amazon, & BigCommerce every month. My duties as manager of the sales, marketing and customer service department include managing invoices and shipping labels, interfacing with customers both online and over the phone, maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all products sold, and keeping the online stores up-to-date with attractive, easy-to-read interfaces and listings and competitive prices. I also design, print, and cut the company's product labels, and build their websites, as well as oversee social media marketing campaigns.It is a very technology-intensive position, requiring knowledge of HTML/CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator Microsoft Excel/Word, and Mozilla Thunderbird, use and knowledge of photography equipment, and a mastery of online selling platforms (eBay, Amazon, & BigCommerce).

At GameFly, a company very similar to Netflix, my duties included opening, shipping, and sorting mail to and from GameFly’s members. The job required a level of manual and speed, and communication and organizational skills in order to finish each day on schedule. Occasionally, other duties included disc repair, and navigating and maintaining a system of storage for thousands of discs and video game cases.

At Mendenhall Law, I reviewed files and helped convert them to digital formats, allowing the office to become more organized and efficient. In order to do so, I had to quickly absorb and understand complicated paperwork, and comprehend how law offices interact with oil companies. The position required the use of Adobe PDF software, and EPSON scanner software.

Final Fantasy V-II: Sacred Chains is an independant sequel to the Squaresoft title, Final Fantasy V. My duties as advisor to the Honors College included meeting with students regarding their schedules and advancement in the Honors College curriculum, maintaining a roster of active students, and maintaining an easy to follow electronic filing system to keep track of their progress. This required a knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and the ability to navigate and maintain both a physical and electronic filing system.

Working as an assistant technician, I assisted in regular maintenance and upkeep of the computer systems in the server room. This required a knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

As a lab technician I installed and maintained computer hardware and software, as well as assisted in teaching new students about the technology. My duties also required me to assist teachers with technical support. Any issue I was not able to answer immediately with my existing knowledge, I was able to answer after troubleshooting and research.
