Ryan started at Advanced Financial Consultants in 2021 on the team of Jeff Bigler, Andy Vix, and Trina Urban, and joined Derek Carter’s and Glenn Mackenzie’s team in 2024. He assists in developing client relationships, understanding client risks, goals, and overall investment & planning objectives, and implementing retirement and comprehensive financial plans. Ryan is passionate about the debt-free message and championing financial freedom; he has coached enough people over the years to see that it’s possible for anyone. Ryan utilizes goals-based financial planning tools that help clients see if they’re “on track” for retirement. He also works with a life insurance broker and 25+ top-rated carriers, making sure clients have the right kind and right amount of life insurance coverage – the “defensive” strategy for a solid financial game plan. Ryan passed all of his securities exams (Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7, Series 66), in addition to completing the Ramsey Solutions Financial Coach Master Training and being Life/Health licensed. He has been a Financial Peace University coordinator since 2016, co-leading 12 classes and counting. He was the founder and administrator of the Dave Ramsey Money Matters yammer group at Mayo Clinic from 2016–2021, where membership grew to 2,400+ and was the largest yammer group at Mayo. He also served on his church’s endowment committee in various roles from 2018–2020.
