I have 18 years of experience as a Network / Systems Administrator, 9 years in the banking industry followed by another 9 in the manufacturing industry. I was exposed to a wide verity of business models and regulatory concerns. I have experience with multiple productivity products, business intelligence suites, and network management platforms. Thanks in no small part to Covid-19 closing my division, I find myself looking for a new role supporting the business community with thoughtful comprehensive cost-appropriate technical solutions. I was driving north to head to my first big job interview after graduating college, programming for a well-known insurance company. On the way, I stopped in my hometown to let my daughter visit her grandparents. While they were showing me around, I was introduced to my first job as a Help Desk Technician at the regional bank. I transferred from the bank as a Network Technician to my most recent role as the Network Administrator with a company that would later grow into Thorpe Specialty Services Corporation where I worked until recently. Over the nine years I worked with Thorpe, our company grew from sixty people to over four hundred in the US and Canada. I guided the technological growth of our company alongside our Directors of Infomation Systems. We kept a small three-person team to manage all those assets and users!As a Network Administrator, I worked with our Microsoft Tennant ensuring the servers running in Azure were operating optimally while monitoring the transaction costs. I lead the team to provide single sign-on between AD and Office 365 with AD FS and ADsync. I managed the environment is Kaseya and secured it with Cisco Meraki Security Appliances, Cisco Umbrell, and Webroot. We enhanced the email filtering with ProofPoint and partnered with KnowBe4 for user education.From servers to the internet of things, I have been responsible for international networks to IoT Coffee Pots ordering their own pods!
