After spending my time in the field learning better ways to utilize my knowledge and skills as an API Inspector over the previous 9 years of my career, an opportunity presented itself to return to the Gulf of Mexico. I am currently working as an Embedded API Inspector for Oxy/Anadarko on their Deepwater Facility "Horn Mountain." I am here to oversee their current MI inspection program, perform API Internal and External Visual Inspections, and consult on any inspection projects happening at this facility.

After my departure from Oceaneering, I moved into an Operations Manager position with NVI, LLC. I performed multiple duties while holding the operations manager position including bid/cost estimates for projects, performing QA/QC of work performed in the field before being submitted to the client, maintaining smooth operation and transition of personnel from one job to another, as well as performing field inspections when needed. In 2012, 2013, and 2014 I received my API 570, 510, and 653 Inspector certifications, respectively. Since completing the last of my API certifications, I made the decision to return to working in the inspection field in order to further my knowledge and better utilize my API certifications.

Manager over Mechanical Integrity operations

After my time spent working in the construction industry, I pursued a career in the inspection industry. Oceaneering was the first company that opened their doors to me. Starting out as a helper, I realized that this was the career path I was waiting to find. After a short 6 month period, I was promoted to a Level 1 technician in the Mechanical Integrity division of Oceaneering. After working in the field for an additional 2 years, I had completed my Level II certifications in MT, PT, UTT, and RT limited. At this point I was given the opportunity to become a Project Manager over Fieldwood Mechanical Integrity Inspections. I served as one of two project managers over Fieldwood Mechanical Integrity Inspections until my departure from Oceaneering.

While attending college at Nicholls State University, I was introduced to the oil and gas industry and quickly realized the vast opportunities available in this field. I started out as a helper at Crown and quickly worked my way up to a pipe fitter position. After working my way up to what I viewed as a top position in my field, I realized that I could further expand my opportunities by pursuing a career in the inspection industry.
