• Designed and developed an HR Leave Management System (LMS) leveraging Amazon Web Services to replace on-premise systems; the platform verifies leaves, enables concurrent approvals, and updates timesheets—cutting down back-and-forth emails and manual processing—saving 12 man-days in a month for administrative staff.• Identified and gathered internal and external client requirements, pain points through contextual inquiry and constructed as-is, to-be processes to evaluate solutions. Translated them into technical design specifications.• Integrated Tesseract to perform medical certificate scans, supporting multiple file types (PDF, PNG, JPEG).• Increased upload limit to over 16MB by utilising GridFS for large administrative files.• Leveraged knowledge in Full Stack Web Development, JavaScript, Git, and debugged using Chrome DevTools to develop the proof of concept.• Gained further knowledge in Java, MySQL as the project moves towards development and eventual production.I extended my internship with HDB on a part time basis, to bring the project to fruition.
