This involves the design and development of cryogenic and dry gas seals for turbomachinery applications. While at Blue Origin, I have worked on research, development and production projects. My work consists of concept generation, preliminary CAD modeling, analyzing hardware at varying operating conditions, final development drawings, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, design for manufacturing, hardware procurement, quality control and coordination with assembly/disassembly of turbopumps.I have also worked extensively on testing and analysis of dynamic seal hardware including sub-component rigs and full engine testing. The scope of my work has included test rig set up (rig design, instrumentation, develop test procedures and sequence writing), post-processing test data and optimizing designs for test and flight. During my time at Blue Origin I have also taken on the role of technical focal for dynamic seals. I have taken the lessons learned through taking the BE-4 seal system from development through production and applied them across programs.
