As CTO of Maker Studios, Ryan lead the integration of the company into Disney. As a member of The Walt Disney Company CTO Council, with the CTOs from ESPN, ABC, Studios, Disney Interactive and Parks & Resorts, Ryan was involved in defining the technology strategy for Disney.Ryan was also a member of the Disney Research Advisory board where he reviews and provides input on research from the labs in Los Angeles, Zurich, Pittsburg and Boston.

As founding CTO, Ryan established the technology group at Maker. He built a world class product engineering team of over 70 people across engineering, product management, user experience, design, data services, IT, and program management.Ryan was a key executive leading to the $675M acquisition of Maker by The Walt Disney Company in 2014 and successfully lead the Maker team through the integration into Disney.

After the Koral acquisition in 2007, Ryan lead the integration of the Koral team and technologies into Salesforce.com. The team excelled and grew under Ryan's leadership, taking over engineering of all content technology across the Salesforce.com product suite.Ryan took over all Mobile engineering for Salesforce.com in 2009 and was a key leader in defining the company's mobile strategy. Apps delivered by his teams won many awards including Apple's Top Business App of 2011.As a member of Salesforce's Virtual Architecture team, Ryan was intimately involved with strategic architectural direction across the company's technology platforms.With his experience of leading teams coming in through acquisitions and performing due diligence for multiple others, Ryan has demonstrated strong leadership in key elements of technology acquisitions.

Ryan co-founded Koral along with his former colleagues from BuildOnline. They built the product over a 2 year period and then officially launched their new product, Koral, at DEMOFall 2006. It was a great success and received many industry accolades. Koral was acquired in March 2007 by Salesforce.com.

BuildOnline provides SaaS based Enterprise Content Management solutions. Ryan was the Chief Architect for BuildOnline where he was responsible for all architecture and development from teams distributed across the US, UK and India.

HealthBridge exchanges information between the different role players in the South African healthcare industry. Some highlights of Ryan’s work there include being technical lead for the Server-Side Messaging Infrastructure, technical lead Pathology Claim Processing Messaging System as well as the design and development of the Java and C++ SDK used for all Server-Side messaging components.
