I provide legal services to companies of all sizes that have the need for regular, on-going legal advice but who do not want to devote full-time resources to a legal department or add more attorneys to their preexisting legal team. My practice is devoted to serving as an outsourced "on demand" counsel for companies, which allows me to assist with corporate formation and incorporation, contract drafting, review, and negotiation, trademark strategy and procurement, labor and employment matters, business disputes, risk management, and other day-to-day legal matters that my clients face. I have the flexibility to provide quality legal services to business clients on their terms - with flexible fee arrangements, flexible hours, and with little overhead. My goal is to serve as a seamless extension of a company's existing Legal or Management team -- or as a trusted legal adviser to smaller businesses -- while keeping legal budgets under control.

As in-house counsel, my work touched on nearly every aspect of the corporate business, including negotiation of contracts, advising corporate management regarding the impact of legal considerations on corporate business decisions, researching and filing trademarks, responding to trademark office actions, conducting preliminary analysis on patents and potential infringement, advising on intellectual property risks, and providing advice to the human resources department, including representation of the company at contentious unemployment hearings. I prepared terms of service, privacy policies, and internal protocols to address cutting edge copyright and e-commerce issues. I also drafted and reviewed contracts relating to SHOP.COM's growing partner store program. I also served as the company's insurance administrator, responsible for providing advice to company executives on risk management and insurance coverage matters for the company's international operations, procuring new insurance coverage, negotiating and filing of claims, and maintaining insurance records. Last, but certainly not least, I oversaw most of the company's litigation matters, responsible for litigation strategy, drafting pleadings and discovery requests, and coordinating with outside counsel.

I worked as a litigator, but the work had a greater breadth beyond commercial litigation and business disputes. I analyzed contracts and insurance policies and advised clients regarding business decisions, dispute resolution, insurance coverage, intellectual property (including trademark and patent infringement disputes), and labor and employment matters. I also participated in court hearings and mediation, and argued motions. I left Tuggle Duggins after a great in-house counsel opportunity became available at Market America.

I represented business clients in disputes -- primarily related to risk management and insurance coverage. I reviewed and provided advice regarding contracts and insurance policies, prepared legal memoranda, trial and appellate briefs, and wrote and responded to discovery-related motions and requests. I took and defended depositions. I worked with experts to prepare reports and testimony in civil actions. I also supervised junior associates and paralegals.

I joined RSK as a summer associate because the firm was growing and I knew it would be a good opportunity. During the summer, I attended depositions, participated in document review, and learned about the business of law. RSK later became part of Dickstein Shapiro LLP, where I continued to work after law school.

I conducted legal research and participated in interviews regarding pre-merger filings, and supported attorneys in the areas of civil antitrust enforcement, competition advocacy, and competition policy.

In my first real job out of college, I provided support to a dynamic group of patent and trademark attorneys. I left Dike Bronstein to focus on law school.
