About Ryan Mandado

Ryan Mandado is a Educational Officer at Hawaii Department Education. He possess expertise in social media, public speaking, community outreach, research, education and 16 more skills. He is proficient in Chinese. Colleagues describe him as "Ryan is a fantastic senior global learning and development and strategic operations program leader. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan on DEI and culture learning programs and would highly highly recommend him. Ryan brought order and results to Google's global L&D programs and made participating as a trainer and learner easy and stress free. Ryan is also a stellar individual & teammate who brightens any call/ project. Any organization would be lucky to have Ryan join." and "Ryan brings an enthusiasm and high standard of excellence to his work that is impressive. His presence on a team contributes an inclusive culture that cannot be taken for granted. I know firsthand that this drive comes from his personal commitments to historically underserved communities, and it translates into commendable impact. I worked most closely with Ryan on two major learning and development initiatives. The first was in support of a core offering of Google's inclusive hiring philosophy that seeks to upskill stakeholders on how to adopt a more inclusive mindset to considering candidates for a potential role. Serving as a subject-matter expert on the content, Ryan oversaw and managed the facilitation of the course which engaged with 75+ attendees in a given session. He efficiently and effectively managed a global facilitator population, addressing coverage needs swiftly. The second major initiative I partnered with Ryan on was in the development of new micro-learnings supporting the development of more nuanced diversity, equity, and inclusion expertise for recruiters, sourcers, and hiring managers. Leveraging his expertise in intersectionality, Ryan contributed to content development as well as the design of interactive elements of the training to support multiple learning modalities. These trainings involved engagement with a 3rd-party vendor, tapping into additional project management expertise that required skillful balancing of budget and time constraints. He effectively produced an initial training pilot in partnership with the vendor and finalized the initial compliance and legal review. Throughout my experience working with Ryan across these two initiatives, I observed a deep passion and wealth of learning and development expertise. Ryan has an extensive and notable background in education that equips him with a powerful skillset. He has consistently had to deliver more with less, but what shines through most is his radical optimism. It's this innate orientation to what's possible that makes Ryan an incredible asset for any team. I recommend him resolutely as a result."

Listed skills include Social Media, Public Speaking, Community Outreach, Research, and 17 others.
