I manage a team that initially consisted of 3 engineering leads and 15+ engineers beneath them. I am responsible for focusing on the department's career development initiatives as well as investigating new technologies. Additionally, I am responsible for developing and maintaining the companies' engineering practice to ensure consistency and maintainability. Lastly, I am tasked with communicating needs from within the department to company leadership and disseminating/implementing company goals/initiatives.

I was responsible for the success and productivity 5 engineers who reported to me as well as making engineering decisions alongside a group of 6 other managers. The decisions made were related to trainings, skills assessments, annual review cycles, salary negotiation, on and off boarding and various other management tasks. In addition to this, I was a core contributor for projects in tandem.

I successfully managed a team that initially consisted of 4 frontend engineers and later expanded to 9 members. I prioritized regular one-on-one meetings to focus on the career development of each team member. Additionally, I implemented a set of code standards to ensure consistency and maintainability across projects. To promote collaboration and unity, I developed a cohesive philosophy for frontend development that enabled the team to work seamlessly together. Lastly, I took responsibility for the development of multiple internally distributed packages, enhancing the team's efficiency and effectiveness in their work.
