As a software developer, I've worked to build applications solving problems for small businesses and 1099 workers in industries I've been familiar with.Currently, I'm developing TollView, an Android mobile application designed to track toll expenses in real-time. This app leverages Firebase for user authentication and data management, and the Android Location API for precise location tracking. Additionally, I use Python to interact with NTTA's ArcGIS API, processing the data to update gantry information in the Firebase database.TollView is tailored for rideshare drivers and small businesses to streamline travel expense logging, complemented by a React-based web portal for comprehensive data management.In addition to TollView, I've built a portfolio platform for Elm Aperture, a local photography group. Utilizing React, TypeScript, and Vite, the platform integrates Google Calendar and FullCalendar APIs to present aggregated event schedules from multiple sources. With Tinify's API, I've minified portfolio images enough to ensure 18 images load in under half a second. The code has been architected to separate metadata management from functional code, streamlining the process for photographers to update any of their photos from one simple and easy-to-read file.My career aspirations include roles focused on enhancing software reliability, optimizing performance, and refining user experiences. I aim to deepen my expertise in Rust for embedded systems, and advance my SQL and database skills for substantial optimization projects.
