As our team's data warehouse and reporting capabilities expanded, we were tasked by the organization with taking on critical data integration and analytics initiatives that required our tools, skillset, and agility. My principal project during this time was the self-directed design and development of the Connect Care Training and Access Provisioning process - a series of customer-facing data structures, ETL processes and analytical reporting that automated the validation of end-user training completion and provisioning of access to Alberta Health Service's ongoing implementation of Epic. This province-wide rollout of Epic via the Connect Care program was one of the largest and most complex EMR implementations in the world.This role continued to build on my experience as a Business Analyst with a growing focus on defining customer requirements, designing and building ad-hoc automation solutions using agile methodologies and exploring modern technologies like machine learning to empower operational reporting.

As a Business Analyst in the newly-formed IT Analytics team, I implemented and maintained an enterprise-wide data warehouse used for technology and system attestation at AHS. This included developing and refining ETL processes for hundreds of different organizational systems using a variety of data integration tools, including SSIS. Finally, I cultivated an expertise in visual analytics by leveraging Tableau to create a repository of business-facing reporting dashboards for end-users, managers, and executive leadership. Some of these reports have been in use for almost five years, with a quarter-million views by over 5,000 people.
