Research Assistant At Laboratory For Microsystems Technology
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program funded projects:-Fabricated proof of concept impedance sensors to gather real-time hematocrit data, to be used as an indicator of hemorrhaging. Additionally, designed 3D testing apparatuses using SolidWorks for sensor evaluation in a continuous flow environment.-Investigated the filtration and deposition of titanium dioxide on various diatoms in order to analyze its effect on their light absorbing and scattering qualities.-Designed MATLAB code to analyze batch importation of Scanning Electron Microscope images. Code used to determine and plot pore areas of various diatoms to correlate pore size with diatom size. -Developed micro-postal arrays to facilitate cell adhesion, determining forces exerted on neighboring cells and their environment.
