While at Medstrat, I contributed to the design and implementation of software to allow medical image archiving and manipulation over the web. My work involved server and client-side design, including server API's, security and authentication, user interface, and image manipulation algorithms. I also served as a primary contributor to the design and implementation of the Medstrat administration web portal for our next-generation software product, which allowed administrators to manage permissions and metadata through our web application.

Conducted research in the field of biometrics for automated person recognition. Investigated the fusion of face and iris biometrics to increase system accuracy and robustness in noisy data acquisition environments. Also conducted an in-depth comparative analysis of three commercial iris biometric sensors.

Integrated an open-source physics and graphics engine into existing swarm simulation software. Using the integrated software, I then designed, executed, and analyzed experiments to investigate the impact of physics and graphics on swarm agent modeling for multi-agent swarms. The experiment results were used to help guide the construction of unmanned hovercraft.

In this work, I initiated a project to perform real-­‐time gaze tracking of individuals in medium-­‐resolution video. Responsibilities included algorithm development and programming. I also designed and executed a data acquisition plan to collect controlled eye-­‐gaze videos for future research.

I contributed to the design and execution of a test strategy to verify successful data migration between two database systems. Job responsibilities included coordinating with business-end users and IT staff to ensure data consistency, and developing test scripts to automate data validation. I also organized the 2006 Information Technology Fair to showcase current IT projects to the business division.
