As a Data Demand Support Coordinator I am a crucial link between the Data Engineering and Architecture department and all external areas of the bank. I ensure that any request from an external business area is provided support and is placed on a Roadmap to ensure the department is reaching delivery targets. Through this role I have gained a vast knowledge of the financial services industry from working closely with Data Engineering and Architecture and other departments of the organization. In the time since I have joined I have assisted the refinement of the demand process to a more efficient and streamlined tool that helps the department understand how it itself is working, through analytics of delivery and other metrics.

Sales targets in Ted Baker were based upon the location as a whole and as a first year employee I was not subject to individual sales bonuses. This thought me the importance of working for a team to reach a common goal. I was always happy to help customers or my fellow workers in the case I was working in the stockroom.

In my time at Schuh I have worked as both a sales assistant and stockroom assistant. As a sales assistant I was given targets to hit such as selling six pairs of shoes an hour or a certain number of reusable bags, of which 10% of proceeds go to charity, in a shift. I often reach or exceed these goals during a shift. As a stockroom assistant I am responsible for the upkeep of the stockroom and making sure all items are in correct order as to avoid confusion. I am also responsible for receiving deliveries and packaging orders for customers who buy online.

My duties as a retail assistant included stocking shelves, serving customers and as the newsagent was located in a Texaco Service Station I also had a range of responsibilities on the forecourt such as pumping petrol and helping customers service their cars.
