Ryan Mead is an Australian country musician currently based in Boston USA where he is studying a Bachelor of Music (Professional Music) at Berklee College of Music. With energetic stage presence, engaging banter and cheeky sense of humour, Ryan has become a crowd favourite of the many bars, clubs and venues at which he regularly performs. His music is heavily influenced by country’s legends of the past, including George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley, while embracing modern sounds from the likes of Zach Top, Drake Milligan and Cody Johnson. Growing up in Australia, Ryan was drawn to traditional rock and blues music from an early age. He honed his craft playing in various bands and duo acts before developing his own unique style of Honky-Tonk music. With his signature blend of classic country twang, rock and roll swagger, and heartfelt storytelling, Ryan has become a rising force amongst Sydney’s country scene. In 2022 Ryan attended Berklee College of Music in Boston USA to further develop his understanding of American roots music, and was selected as a member of Berklee’s Summer Bluegrass Ensemble. Ryan’s time in both Boston and also Nashville allowed him the opportunity to focus on country and learn from some of the world’s best musicians. Ryan took what he learned back home, partaking and graduating in the Talent Development program, during which he launched his first headline show with his band, Honky Tonk Friday. Whether he's playing a country classic or one of his original songs, Ryan's passion for country music shines through in every note. With his energetic live performances and undeniable talent as a guitarist, songwriter and singer, Ryan Mead is sure to be a standout in the world of country music for years to come.
