Ryan Heil is the President of the Washington Speakers Bureau (WSB), where he works with a team of engaged professionals committed to uniting the most respected and accomplished thought leaders with audiences around the world. Ryan previously served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief People and Culture Officer. Prior to coming to WSB, he served as Managing Director of the Center for Innovative Leadership and as Chief Marketing Officer of Zipbuds, Inc., where he led a company transformation into the wireless 'earbud' market and was actively involved in the design, sourcing, and funding of new innovative wireless technologies. In 2020, he co-authored his first book, Choose Love Not Fear: How the Best Leaders Build Cultures of Engagement and Innovation that Unleash Human Potential. Before entering the private sector, Ryan spent more than a decade as a coach, administrator, and researcher in Higher Education. He served as the Chief of Staff for the Vice President of Student Affairs at Clemson University and as a member of the marketing team at Clemson Online. Ryan is a past president of Clemson's Graduate School and spent more than a decade in major college athletics serving in compliance and fundraising. Early in his career, he served as a D-I baseball coach and recruiting coordinator. In 2018, Ryan was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Clemson University, where, as part of his dissertation, he developed a faster, more accurate process for describing an organization's culture. He holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Clemson and a Bachelor of Science Degree for Lewis and Clark University. Ryan is a former D-1 baseball pitcher and played professional baseball in the New York Mets organization.
