In close coordination with a team of locals and other expatriates, responsible for implementing the regional mineral exploration programs.Duties include not only technical planning and execution of the soil and stream sediment sampling phase, but also for the day to day logistics of travel, accommodations, meals, and inventory resupply for up to 20 employees for a given field camp.Tasks also include encoding, re-organizing, and interpreting geological, geochemical, and structural data after each completed field campaign along with coordinating sample dispatches for laboratory analysis.Mentoring and upskilling other employees, including locals, in the technical aspects of mineral exploration as well as in safety management.

- Assist in developing, improving, and implementing the Safety Management System for Exploration Activities- Develop and improve standard operating procedures and safe work procedures for all Exploration Activities- Perform Workplace Hazard and Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses with their corresponding corrective actions- Implement corrective actions using the Hierarchy of Controls and within budgetary constraints- Maintain and update Safety Registers including Corrective Action Register, Hazard Register, Incident Register, etc.- Plan and implement employee health and safety awareness programs- Minimize losses by planning, scheduling, and performing safety inspections- Manage contractor compliance with all OSHE standards set by corporate headquarters- Educate employees on the importance of task observations, stop and things, hazard and near-miss reporting- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly central safety committee meetings and facilitate sharing of OSHE ideas and observations- Coordinate purchases of all necessary safety related equipment and materials to maintain operational HSE requirements- Participate in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses and assist in implementing corrective actions to minimize future recurrence- Assist in complying with all OSHE related government, corporate, and environmental policies- Prepare and submit corporate and government reports related to OSHE matters

Responsibilities include:- Undertaking geological mapping, geochemical sampling, trenching, core logging, drill programs, and any other fieldwork as required.- Conducting and facilitating the implementation and completion of exploration programmes and regularly report on progress to senior geologist.- Providing significant input into the preparation and implementation of exploration programs, and budgets for projects when required.- Implementing drilling programs, geophysical programs, geochemical programs and reconnaissance programs as required.
