Serving as the Assistant Weapons Officer for Submarine Readiness Squadron 36 in Kings Bay, Georgia. Leads seven Chief Petty Officers in the performance of responsibilities for myriad support functions facilitating submarine maintenance, engineering upgrades, on-time deployments of strategic resources, and various administrative duties required of those responsibilities. To include:- Coordination of Nuclear Surety functions supporting SSBNs- Multi-platform Maintenance Planning and Execution- Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions- Technical Writing and Research- Written reports to higher authorities- Personnel Counseling and Periodic Evaluations- Fleet Liaison for Nuclear Weapons Security systems- Subject Matter Expert for Strategic Weapons Systems- Conventional ordnance scheduling, training, onloads and offloads- SONAR equipment installation and removal- Coordination of requirements supporting START Treaty inspections

Operate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ballistic missile weapons systems. Align, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair all areas of the missile system, launcher system, and various test systems, to include: - Troubleshoot and repair digital, electrical, and electronic systems; - Troubleshoot and repair water cooling and heating systems utilizing heat exchangers;- Troubleshoot and repair control systems to include electromechanical devices, hydraulics (valves, actuators, and manifolds), and pneumatics (reducing manifolds, pilot-actuated control, pressurization and vent valves, diaphragm valves); - Use standard electronic test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic probes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and frequency counters; - Conduct instrumentation testing and calibration of gauges and sensors;- Conduct operational readiness test of systems.Perform administrative tasks, to include:- Maintain Local Area Network (LAN) logs and records;- Use DOS and Windows-based computers for word processing and other administrative record-keeping tasks;- Prepare maintenance schedules for various task periodicities (daily through annually) and manage maintenance operations;- Complete maintenance reports;- Inventory equipment.Perform management tasks, to include:- Serve as a nuclear weapons handling supervisor; - Supervise the work of subordinates; - Develop subordinates and manage human resources;- Maintain historical maintenance records and analyze for trends.See detailed assignments for role-specific responsibilities.
