Responsible for converting customer orders of membrane keypads and medical sensors into real first articles. I work closely with our customers to clearly define the fit, form, and function requirements oftheir part. From that input, I create a detailed BOM, completely define each component, order and track their production in a variety of plastics and metals, and issue assembly instructions for our factory to complete. Finally, I use my customer definitions established at the beginning to vet each first article with our quality and management teams. I am responsible for 10-12 projects at any given time and our projects must turn around quickly to stay industry competitive. I am also Techprint’s lead architect on a from-scratch Solidworks based PDM implementation, where I am responsible for adapting 50 years of engineering policy into software conditions. I am successfully modernizing our engineering department’s software tools and workflows, while bringing other departments within the company intuitive and account-controlled access to our critical documentation.

At Raytheon, I was responsible for visiting visiting suppliers to assist in improving the quality of purchased products.

Drove Symphony-SP Antenna product development, a new and innovative directional antenna solution for sub 6GHz 5G sector coverage in stadiums and high-capacity venues. Developed high-level product architecture based on client requirements.Fabricated circuit boards, 3D-printed test fixtures, and produced shop-made metal and plastic components, accelerating prototype iterations.Wrote test procedures, tested prototypes, and presented reports during development cycles.Designed 3D CAD and 2D drawings for first article production parts from vendors in a variety of materials and production methods.Wrote manufacturing documents and trained in-house technicians on new product assembly lines.Contributed to novel design leading to a patented innovation (US10910727B2*)
