Team lead and project manager for Liferay Support Operation's data team. The data team is responsible for the development, distribution, and maintenance of all data reporting for Liferay's Subscription Services. The team's vision is to equip stakeholders with the right information at the right time to make faster, smarter, and more impactful decisions.

I serve as the Global Project Manger (PM) for the Support Department at Liferay Inc. My primary responsibility is to oversee all major projects across the globe to ensure that we are progressing towards the designed vision and goals for the year. Conducted experimental research on memory and attention. Specifically, investigated the limitations of visual working memory (VWM) by using the external noise approach to model VWM performance. These experiments introduced internal noise as a limiting factor, which was largely unaddressed as a source of limitation in the research at the time.

The Academy of Public Policy and Leadership (APPLe) Summer Institute gives students an opportunity to view the world of public policy not from the eyes of a high school student, but instead as a scholar and leader in the their community.Twenty seven juniors from Santa Barbara High School came to UCSB to participate in the first ever APPLe Summer Institute. UCSB’s week-long residential summer institute was devoted to public policy, leadership, and civic engagement for young people, both as a way to enrich academic life at the high school, and to prepare students for life at the University.The week included seminars on policy research, leadership and political debate and team building exercises. Featured speakers included Tom Saenz, Chief Counsel for L.A. City Mayor Villaraigosa, Paul Orfalea, founder of Kinko’s and the Orfalea Foundation, Professor Lisa Hajjar (Law and Society), John Yun (Education), David Seigel (Geography) and Assemblyman Pedro Nava. Nava spoke at the closing dinner reception where students presented their reflections on the weekand public policy research to their families.Student reflections and surveys showed that all students have the ability to work togetherand solve complex problems. In fact, students reported an increased interest in civic engagementbased on surveys before and after the institute. Beyond teaching students to do research and work together, APPLE is developing a new generation of leaders.

I worked with Professor Mary Hegarty and ran subjects in her experiments. I recruited participants, operated the eye tracker, and collected data.
