For lack of better terms, I caught fire coding.In my senior years of high school, I always thought my dream was to be an author or writer of some sort, taking advantage of my linguistic enthusiasm and latent creativity to produce best-selling novels. It seemed most appropriate, given my A1 and A+ for both SUEC and SPM English respectively. I participated in multiple school-held literature competitions, even wrote and managed a blog, but something always felt amiss. On a random day scrolling through Youtube, the spark I was missing ignited. I clicked play on a Python tutorial video, and was instantly hooked. The fire for programming took hold of the hearth of my interests, spurring me to take an Elective on Python Programming in 2019, even collaborating with 2 knowledgable classmates on a mock FYP titled "Optimal Time Complexity of Comparison based Sorting Algorithms". I realised programming requires me to incorporate creativity into problem solving, often needing to break code and improve it. Ever since, I frequent HackerRank, LeetCode, and repl.it among other code-oriented platforms. As of today, I am an Computer Science (General) undergraduate from Asia Pacific University. For my Degree Year 1 and 2, I successfully maintained First Class Honours with a 3.71/4.00 CGPA. In 2022, I even took part in Shopee Code League 2022, gaining valuable insight and coding experience.So far, I am familiar with:1. Python 2. C 3. C++ (Data Structures)4. My years in high school has hardened my resolve and I am no stranger when it comes to stress. I am able to quickly adapt to tough situations, and generate effective solutions to solve problems. Although not my forte, I can still communicate effectively, manage teams, and even organize events, given the correct resources. So far, that is all I can say for myself. However, actions speak louder than words, and I openly welcome discussions on how my skills and abilities may contribute to your cause.
