Over the last decade I have been excited by and deeply focused on automation. Not "how do we replace humans" but "what can we automate so humans can focus on what really matters". At Cloneless, I'm the co-creator of a cloud-based, visual programming language and post-production platform. VFX specialists use Cloneless to create entirely automated, distributed workflows. Allowing render times orders of magnitude faster and the ability to make changes anywhere in the process, on the fly.At Unstructured, we've created an open source library for automating the ingest, processing (unstructured->structured), and staging of data; so data scientists no longer need to -also- do data engineering.At Primer, I directed the teams developing Delta, an NLP platform which could perform semantic search across user documents to generate a deep analysis including document and event summarization, entity detection, relationship extraction, and topic resolution.In the off hours, for the past several years I have been creating Garfunkel, an AI-powered, music co-authoring application to drop in to your compositional process to facilitate exploration.
