Dell hired me as an MBA marketing intern during Summer 2014. I developed a data package to show the current state of tied and non-tied software & peripheral items to prepare for “ships with” program ramp which increased gross margin by $20M in the US. I recommended a change to customer support that would decrease unnecessary outbound contacts to customers and save $2M in operating expenses.

I began at Real Salt Lake as an intern while I was still in school and kept me as part of the game day communications staff after the internship was over. During the games I worked with local and national media members to make sure they had the correct stats and info for their stories. At the end of each match I assisted with post-game press conferences, conducted player interviews, and wrote player quotes for the Real Salt Lake website.

At Snapp Conner PR I represented Ancestry.com, ContentWatch, Fishbowl, Nelson Laboratories, and additional clients. My responsibility was to consult on messaging and positioning strategies and then find the right channels to deliver key messages to the client's target audiences. These channels at times included large outlets like USA Today, PC Magazine, Yahoo!, and Forbes. In my final semester at UVU I began working as an Assistant Sports Information Director. During the day I updated media guides, player bios, game programs, and the athletics website. On game nights I was in charge of keeping stats and writing the post-game press releases. After graduation I stayed on to work through the end of basketball season and to do color commentary for the home baseball games.

The Provo City Council hired me to handle communications during the transition period for new council members over a six-month period as an intern. Working at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in the Endoscopy Department, also known as the Gastroenterology Lab, was my first experience working directly with a company's key publics.
