My name is Ryan Odom. I started at WALB in 2007 as a Master Control Operator, and upon completion of my degree from Albany Technical College was promoted to Engineer. My key role was to repair electronic equipment within the organization. I possess an extensive skill set that has proven beneficial in the television broadcast environment. A few examples of which are the installation of security cameras at WALB and its transmitter site. Additionally, I assisted fellow engineers in building a storm tracker. On this project, I was successfully responsible for the creation of the wiring diagram and installing equipment. Because of this, I am comfortable and confident in handling many types of electronic equipment and can do so safely and efficiently.I moved to Minnesota in 2017 to work for KTTC/KXLT. While here, I have performed numerous large scale projects for the station. The most recent project involved removing all of our old studio cameras and installing four robotic Acid cameras on a Furio SE Dolly VR600. We also installed a new Clear-Com intercom/IFB system. Additionally, during my first year there, we redesigned both studios, one of which was a virtual set. I have demonstrated proficiency setting up microwave live shots; one of the most prominent being at the Rochester airport when the President came to town. I have also worked with Harris and other contractors when we had our new transmitter installed last year for repack. we added five new pass-through channels, which brought the station up to 10 channels
