Led the development of a brand-new public-facing competitions website from scratch. Determined which technologies to use based on learning curve and available resources. Worked closely with product owners to determine key features, roadmaps, and deadlines.

Managed a team of three other developers to maintain and add features to an existing public-facing ecommerce website with tens of thousands of users. Led discussions about architecture and implementation. Performed code reviews and interviewed candidates for hire.

• Part of a team of 10 working to improve, maintain, and expand a major public e-commerce website while managing 1 junior developer. • Worked directly with marketing and product owners to gather requirements, estimate development tasks, and provide timelines.• Team followed the Agile methodology with daily standups and 2-week sprints. Tasks were tracked in JIRA.• Made major front-end redesigns to multiple pages of website using C#, Razor, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Backbone.js, and HTML/SASS.• Added extensive tracking, tag management, and logging to website using Adobe DTM, Google GTM, and SEQ.• Added REST API methods for integration with other applications and partners. • Debugged and expanded legacy stored procedures to support new functionality. • Guided and mentored junior developers on their careers as well as technical skills.

Children’s Hospital Public Website: Took over continued development and maintenance of a major children’s hospital’s public-facing website. Worked directly with the client as the only developer. Greatly sped up website performance through a series of optimizations. Built on SharePoint 2010 with custom .NET web parts.Community Health Care Website: Worked closely with client’s Communications Manager to add features and fix existing bugs. Created Staging environment for future development and SEO testing. Built on SharePoint Online with heavy JavaScript and jQuery use.Financial Advisory Services Intranet: Revived old, undocumented system to stable, working condition. Upgraded environment from SharePoint 2007 to 2013. Heavily built on SQL stored procedures, views, and functions.

Mockup and Prototype Creation: Worked closely with a group of three others to create mockups and prototypes of how we would create mobile apps out of existing websites. Technologies used were Balsamiq, Moqups, and Justinmind.International Position Evaluation Tool: Joined a large team of around 20 to add additional functionality to an existing web application. Development included writing in C#, JavaScript, hql, and SQL to integrate with the code already in place. Challenges included learning and building Dundas Charts and well as implementing custom-made libraries with no documentation.Insurance Exchanges Website: Played one part of a team of 12 from start (requirements gathering) to finish (client handoff). Integrating with an existing Microsoft Dynamics backend and a Kentico Content Management System, used C# and a large amount of JavaScript to create a robust and scalable public-facing website that allowed for searching and purchasing of health insurance. Journaling Tool: Added dragging and dropping functionality using C#, JavaScript, and KnockoutJS.Vehicle Offer Center Tool: Worked in a team of two developers to integrate with an existing code base to create a customer offer generation tool. Written in C#, JavaScript, and custom HTML/CSS.Web Scraper Tool: Fixed various bugs in C# Windows Application web scraper tool.Property Reporting Tool: Added new features and provided support for system that provided reports for property management clients. Tool was originally written in VB.NET and integrated with Sharepoint. Reports were generated using Microsoft Report Definition Language (RDLs).Geneca Homepage Redesign: Revamped homepage using PHP and SQL, with Drupal as a way to manage the content. Poker Tourney App: Ported 2 major sections from Android to HTML5, using MVC 3, jQuery, Razor, and Entity Framework.Employee Review Tool: Wrote several components using .NET, jQuery, Razor, MVC 3, and Entity Framework as a web tool for reviewing employees.

Served meals and drinks to the residents, operated the cash registers, performed room service, and cleaned dining/cooking areas.

Helped students during class, held office hours, and graded homework.
