Prepared hydrology study for use in a groundwater model: Ran a continuous hydrologic computer simulation to estimate surface and groundwater recharge rates and volumes from 1998 to 2013. Used BASINS software with the integrated HSPF modelling engine. Ran separate HSPF models. (Eight different catchments were modelled to encompass 758-acre site, with total catchment area over 2,200 acres. Post processing efforts was extensive to refine over 400,000 points of data into a usable format for the groundwater model, resulting in summary tables including groundwater recharge and surface runoff amounts for each catchment, on and off project site.)Provided assistance maintaining site’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan: performing monthly industrial stormwater BMP inspections, and conducting quarterly stormwater sampling. Conducted on-site investigations to identify potential sources of metals in the stormwater runoff and assisted coordination with client and contractors to reduce pollutants in runoff. Onsite geotechnical/earthwork observation and nuclear density gauge testing. Onsite feasibility investigation including hand borings, soil sample collection, and surveying.Investigative work determining site historical downstream stormwater flow: Analysed documents, photos, and plans from multiple municipal sources to interpret the chronological construction and updates on the combined sewer system. Prepared City of Seattle Construction Stormwater Control Plan and Drainage Reports. Designed TESC and permanent stormwater BMPs. Performed quantity estimates and drawing plan set redlines/edits.
