Firebase Backend-as-a-Service products. High throughput "realtime" services, mostly running on the JVM.

Social bookmarking, full-text search, and on-page discussion for teams. Built with browser extensions, communicating with a Scala backend handling REST + websocket traffic, with full-text indices via Lucene and data persistence via MySQL.

Created a high-performance quantum chemistry platform that integrated simulation projects from other members of my research group. Built GPU-enabled Monto Carlo simulations and improved on state-of-the-art algorithms for electron-electron integral tensor calculations.

Developed a theoretical framework for simulating the simultaneous interaction of a single molecule with a plasmon-carrying metal nanoparticle. Worked at MITRE for three summers on a millirobot project (a robot on the scale of 10mm). First assessed whether such a project was possible, then designed, fabricated, and programmed the millirobot to explore its surroundings and wirelessly send telemetry data to a laptop.Coding for the robot was done in C (on the ATmega line of microchips) and the laptop driver was written in Java.
