Made strives to improve alumni relations and get alumni involved with current scholars. I initiated and organized career days for 70 current scholars bringing in alumni to discuss various career paths, networking, resume building and interview tips. I also developed and formatted biannual alumni newsletters sharing updates, university and community involvement, accomplishments, pictures and other news with over 700 alumni. For in between newsletters, a Facebook page was created to share highlights throughout the year. I also worked with the Ohio Evans Scholars Alumni Association to produce newsletters for Miami and Ohio State Evans Scholars Alumni.

Elected by my peers to one of seven executive positions. In addition to being a leader of the house, I was responsible for house safety, organizing the parking lot, distributing house keys and ensured that DirecTV was working for 70 scholars. Furthermore, I managed a $15,000 philanthropy checking account and encouraged scholars to participate in philanthropy events throughout the year.As the 2010 Stephanie Hummer Memorial Golf Tournament Chairman, I managed a committee of 12 to successfully plan and host a golf tournament raising $3,500 to promote off-campus safety. This opportunity allowed me to experience being a project manager by working with a diverse team to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles in order to have a successful event.

I was responsible for Energizer’s daily transporting planning using RedPrairie TMS Load Builder and SAP in addition to communicating with customer account specialists, Energizer’s warehouses and carriers as needed. I was also actively involved in a Truck Load and Intermodal Bid intended to save $1.7 million annually in transportation costs.

I played a crucial role in communicating the changes to Ohio Medicaid to over 90,000 Medicaid providers and hundreds of government staff through E-mail, internet Web pages and intranet Web pages. I worked with the communications team and several subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop information releases and FAQ documents for all stakeholders affected by the changes in Ohio’s Medicaid System.

The summer after my freshman year and during winter break of my sophomore year of college I had the experience to work at a production facility that made cleaning products ranging from industrial cleaning to personal hygiene products. Besides working multiple production lines, I saw firsthand how a business runs in a production and warehouse setting.

For several summers I was a golf caddie providing superior service to members. I quickly learned proper techniques and was awarded Rookie Caddie of the Year in 2005. Before each golf season I trained incoming caddies to prepare them for caddying for the members. By caddying I developed a strong work ethic, discipline and a genuine understanding of providing outstanding service.
