Analyzed, root caused and solved complex safety-critical issues in State of Charge (SOC) estimation in various thermal control modes for all GM Electric Vehicles (EV) in production. • Identified and addressed gaps between system requirements and control designs for cabin heating and cooling issues for MY24 and beyond EV programs with the SOC estimation • Led cross-functional reviews to verify data from SIL, HIL, and vehicles to identify any issues with the thermal system for all GM EVs with Epics, Features, Stories and backlog refinement • Developed algorithms for the next generation of EV thermal system to improve energy efficiency and EV range with successful results • Researched novel solutions for the next generation thermal controls with a systematic view including chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal • Managed the latest technology to define the new state of art for thermal control and system simulations • Implemented robust algorithms for next generation thermal controls from a clean sheet, including software architecture in coordination, arbitration and supervisory domains • Implemented software unit tests, HIL, and vehicle tests from customer expectations and system requirements • Managed the emerging area of electric vehicle thermal heat pump controls including thermodynamics, control algorithm design, verification and data validation using an Agile development process with quicker results and advancements of the software code
