At Commonwealth Sport Canada, leadership in sport for development has been my driving force, integrating SDGs into impactful programs that have reached over two million youth. Our team has leveraged sport as a catalyst for social change, focusing on empowerment, gender equity, and health awareness. With expertise in sustainable development and sport management, my role has facilitated enduring community benefits and national sport system enhancements.Previously, as Executive Director at the Alberta Curling Federation, I honed skills in non-profit organization management, fostering growth through strategic program implementation and stakeholder engagement. The experiences there, combined with a strong foundation in results-based management, have equipped me to effectively navigate the complexities of international development through sport and champion initiatives that promote sustainable capacity development.
